LIEBESLEID

By

Poet: Işıl Ayça Akkuş

Take your susurrus gracefully
It was yours before me
The sun has stolen
Captured in your smile for a moment
You couldn’t say more right
Releasing love like

Midst of train station abandoned
Spring rains in your arms
Bleeds deeper than I know
I asked the child
Leaving the lady iron
She said you must rest my dear
No medicine for liebesleid
Only a shallow vision apart
The moon is fated to love the sun
Yet her majesty has the will to run
There was a love before you
A love belonged to mine
I search for that vision in my dreams
Now you must forgive me
A separation, the ones never united
Needed a
breath, splash of air
Till your angel eyes bends the starry nights
Pupils holding me more dearly than your heart
Farewell for a time,
Farewell for a sorrow that was never mine
