House Rules – Meetings

  1. We enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy against any form of discrimination, misogyny, harassment, or derogatory comments, whether subtle or direct, targeted at any individual or group. Our mission is to maintain a safe, inclusive space for everyone. If you are made to feel unsafe or uncomfortable at any time, please know that the Poetry is Alive team will take immediate, serious action to address it.
  2. If you’ve filled out the attendance poll, please try to arrive on time or let us know in advance if your plans change. This helps us organize the event smoothly for everyone!

Submissions

By submitting your poem to Poetry is Alive, you agree to the following:

1. Original Work: You confirm that you are the original author or have obtained necessary permissions.

2. Code of respect: You confirm that your poems do not include any disrespectful language toward any member or group of society. We will not publish works that target or attempt to inflict harm on vulnerable groups.

3. Language: Any work in any language is valuable, and welcomed. We believe poetry should be a free space for all languages around the world, so we would be happy to see a variety of poems even though the platform language is English due to accesibility reasons.

4. License Grant: You grant Poetry is Alive a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

• Display your work on our website and social media with your permission.

5. Retention of Rights: You retain full copyright ownership and may publish, share, or remove your work at any time. This is a platform for your voice, and we value the sovereignty and agency of poets who keep this project alive.

6. Removal Requests: Contact poetryisaliveproject@gmail.com to request removal of your work. We will comply within 7 days.

“Poetry is Alive” is a protected name. Please do not use our name or branding without written permission. This is a nonprofit, volunteer-run project. We are not responsible for any disputes regarding submitted content. You can contact with us for any feedback or comments.
